One of the important principles discussed in Chapter 1 was the need for a continuous teaching-Iearning process that involved assessment, preparation, instruction, and evaluation. In this chapter, and later, we focus on the instruction, and evaluation aspects of the cyde. We discuss a number of issues related to teaching and remediation, and describe instructional techniques that bring into focus strategie behaviour, problem-solving, and related concepts.
