ABSTRACT
Arab unity and the Palestinian problem have constituted key elements in the state ideology of Libya, since the revolution in 1969. Libya has sought on a number of occasions to pursue other Arab nationalist objectives by uniting other Arab countries. The regime has placed considerable emphasis on crating supportive public opinion on these two issues, especially among the younger generation, through the agents of political socialisation.
