ABSTRACT
Katsudon is the name of a popular dish and is simply a shortened form of katsu-donburi. 'Katsu9 is the Japanese pronunciation of 'cutlet'. Since the cutlet originated in European cuisine I'm not sure whether it should be called exotic at all. However, it's something that ought to be tried, since cutiet cookery has been completely modified to suit Japanese taste and nothing quite like it exists in Europe.
