WEAVINGistheartofregularlyinterlacingthreadorfilaments intocloth.Itisperformedbythealternationofoneseriesof threadsoverandthenunderanother,orbytheintermittentbut regularcrossingofthethreads,astheclothtobawovenmaybe wantedplainortwilled.Therearealsovariouskindsoffancy weaving;butasfewLinensaresomade,exceptingdamasks andkindredfabrics,whichwillbereferredto,itisunnecessary tomentionthem.
