Dickson, before his break with Gilmore and Edison at West Orange, had taken his pen in hand to write a few lines on the original Kinetoscope late in 1894. In this work he had anticipated projection, and now Armat had attained it. The pamphlet in 1896 suddenly acquired a new title, a new cover and a frontispiece in a leap to catch step with the new Vitascope.
