ABSTRACT

HERE is an array of easy lessons in success, a study in dramatic entrances and how some of the great of the screen took their first steps on the path to fame_

The choicest of these is a tradition of the Biograph days of 1909, unverified but circumstantial enough to be true. It appears, as the story goes, that there happened to be a certain street car conductor on the cross-town line which passed 11 East Fourteenth street, the Biograph number, who observed with special interest the comings and goings of the picture people.
