We therefore detained this vessel, and she, and several others (some of them full, and some with only a few slaves in them), were subsequently condemned at Zanzibar, and the condemnation approved by the Sultan. Another case of this system of kidnapping, was that of a
woman and two boys who were stolen by the captain of a dhow from the shore, to be sold on arrival north.
