ABSTRACT
No man was allowed to look at them as they went to their gardens, nor to go in the direction of the town in which they lived. But immediately after the death of the old chief the people destroyed the houses of these women; and by this summary action, more emphatic than words, they plainly showed that they were determined not to bear one day longer with the hateful innovation.
