ABSTRACT
While some political dimensions of the intelligence process are necessary and even helpful, others generate a considerable amount of friction which cannot help but bring about a decline in the quality of the intelligence product and its use. It is primarily the negative political aspects of the intelligence process that are the subject of this article.
