ABSTRACT
The German Blitzkrieg concept is a typical historical myth. As will be seen, reality and fantasy are interwoven to such an extent that it is often difficult to distinguish between cause and effect. It is, therefore, important to dismantle the myth, thereby further revealing the methodological problems involved in research of the subject.
