Conclusion

Although the social revolution occurred in the early 1960s, the Free Officers had already announced their intention to introduce socialism in Egypt soon after the July coup. The first socialist measures to be introduced were the laws associated with agrarian reform, in September 1952, and other socialist measures followed later.
