ABSTRACT
The eastward expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), apart from unloosening a spirited debate about the American national interest in Europe's future, also gives organization theorists an opportunity to show off their wares. I was asked to pick some themes pioneered by Berkeley theorists to illuminate the display.
