ABSTRACT
For conspiracy itself is dull work. Its mysteries quickly become a bore, its secrecy a burden and its involved way of doing things a nuisance. Its object is never to provide excitement, but to avoid it. Thrills means that something has gone wrong ... I have never known a good conspirator who enjoyed conspiracy.
