ABSTRACT
In an attempt to determine the success of the hospital mergers in this study, analysis was performed on the merged hospitals three years after the mergers. This allows sufficient time for the merged entity to show improved or lower ratios. To perform this compara tive analysis, the mergers were divided into successful and unsuc cessful categories depending on the changes in the significant vari ables from the year of merger to three years after merger.
