ABSTRACT
The data collected by OSHPD is then made available to the public in annual publications. The data is published in three annual volumes that assess different geographic areas. Volume 1 covers the areas of Northern California, Golden Empire, North Bay, West Bay, East Bay, North San Joaquin, Santa Clara County, and Mid Coast. Volume 2 covers the Los Angeles County area and Volume 3 includes Central California, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Inland Coun ties, Orange County and San Diego/Imperial areas. The reporting periods covered by these publications usually run from June to the following June. Data were collected in this study by utilizing all three annual publications of the Office during the fiscal years from 1979/80 through 1990/91. Since there is usually more than a oneyear delay in the publication of these books and date of the financial statements, the last period available for analysis for this study was the 1990/91 fiscal year.
