ABSTRACT

The trend that affects all that we do in management is a new impetus for internationalization. Even if we remain in our native country, we cannot avoid the world coming to us. To companies and people alike, this implies an active search of and entrance into world markets. At the same time, the structure of the world economy goes through transitions that affect all national economies (see e.g., Tofi1er, 1990). Additionally, the integration of Western Europe and the disintegration of Eastern Europe will provide us with many surprises. Paradigms of science have been challenged. The values of man are changing, and the values of industrial society are disintegrating in a process whose outcome nobody can predict.
