ABSTRACT
Sociology is the study of the structure of society and how that structure affects interactions among individuals, groups, and organizations. Through the study of social structure and social interaction within a particular social context, trends become apparent. These trends, or social patterns, are the behaviors and attitudes that individuals, groups, or organizations have in common during particular social circumstances and time periods.
