ABSTRACT
We gave our son, Daniel Aaron, a fly-tying kit for Christmas when he was ten. We did not know at the time that this gift would shape his future.
This gift was fitting for Danny because we were pastoring a church which was in a California coastal village that fronted on one of the best-known steelhead trout rivers in California and the world. Danny's boyhood playground was this river.
