ABSTRACT

The beginning of this story is set in the unique timeframe that we both share. I am a pre-baby boomer; I was born in 1943, and at one time, our generation was called the War Baby Generation. Diana was born in 1948 so she is considered a "baby boomer." Notwithstanding, our respective "settings in t ime" parallel major cultural changes that occurred during and after World War II. Particularly, attitudes toward the role of women underwent significant changes, and we found ourselves living on both sides of this cultural shift.
