The list of norms in the Appendix to this article is a distillation of ideas from many other sources in the profeminist men's studies literature (see especially Bograd, 1991; Kimmel, 1987; Kimmel & Messner, 1996; Levant & Pollack, 1995; and Pleck, 1981). Readers are encouraged to study these primary sources to expand their understanding of the material condensed here.
