Coordination and Collaboration: A Model for Electronic Resources Management

In a 1997 article for The Serials Librarian, I described the cataloging of electronic resources (including serials) at Iowa State University, and suggested guidelines for libraries at the beginning of this process.l In this chapter, I focus more specifically on our local process, with the goal of providing information to other libraries wrestling with electronic resources (ERs). The model adopted at Iowa State is one of coordinated electronic resources management.
