ABSTRACT

At the beginning of this book I said my hope is that this will help you, the reader, make both intellectual and practical sense of research methods for social work. Now, at the end, I want to reiterate that this book is intended as an adjunct resource to a textbook, not as a replacement, and that much of the decision making called for in research needs to take place with those in the know-researchers, theoreticians, scholars, practitioners, or consumers.
