ABSTRACT
Variables are simply factors that become objects of examination. If variation in age is of interest, then it’s a variable. Is gender of interest? Education? Number of siblings? Diagnosis? Work setting? Ethnicity? Religion? Work history? Language? Anxiety? Age? Height? Whatever factors have capacity for variation can be conceptualized and studied as variables.
