ABSTRACT

This herb is the dried tuber of Alisma orientalis (Sam.) Juzep. of the family Alismataceae. It grows plentifully in ditches and ponds in the Fujian, Jiangxi, and Sichuan provinces of China, and is collected in the winter, sliced, and dried or stir baked with saltwater (Jiang Su New Medical College, 1977).
