ABSTRACT

This herb is the dried bark of the trunk of Cinnamomum cassia Presl. or C. japonicum Sieb. of the family Lauraceae. It is mainly grown in the Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Taiwan provinces of China and other states in Southeast Asia. The bark is stripped off the tree in summer and dried after the cork is scraped. It is then sliced or ground into powder (Jiang Su New Medical College, 1977). https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203050040/86743b54-459f-4502-a9f1-33f21b13726a/content/figpg306_001_B.jpg" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>
