ABSTRACT
The purposes of this chapter are to discuss the economic status of the rural elderly females in Korea and to examine factors related to poverty. It suggests that Korean rural female elderly, often windows, are faced with serious financial problems. Poverty is associated with age, educational attainment, marital status and living arrangement, and health.
