ABSTRACT

In this chapter we describe the lengthy process through which this curriculum evolved. At the outset we must point out that 'The Rules of the Game" constitutes a joint venture of practicing high school teachers and academics, in which both groups became actively engaged in curriculum development. Another unusual feature is its step-by-step decision making process. We shall outline this process as a set of junctures, at each of which we had to make some major decision, and at which we had to make up our minds and decide which road to take.
