ABSTRACT
Glaser’s quote returns us to issues raised at the beginning of this book. Is the idea of teaching thinking skills a kind of timeless delusion or are there grounds for assuming that teaching thinking is a practical reality? Although the results of this present study are in some ways disappointing, they need to be viewed within the context of the wider literature.
