ABSTRACT

True multiculturalists are, in essence, avowed globalists. Globalism, in this context, is a philosophy that embraces the search for understanding cultures of the world and how nations wrestle with cultural issues. Although globalists recognize differences in the socioeconomic–political environment of each nation, they strive to understand how educational policymakers, educators, and political leaders from different nations attempt to resolve their cultural issues. This understanding is important as we compare and contrast cultural issues, educational policies, and social strategies across the nations of the world.
