ABSTRACT
In 1970 Charles Pierce opened his show at Gold Street, a Gold Rush-themed bar and restaurant on alleylike Gold Street in North Beach in San Francisco, and stayed there four years. The room was not designed to be a showroom. There was no stage, so it was necessary to reconstruct the area somewhat so that the show could go on.
