ABSTRACT
In 1978, the City Cabaret and Disco on Montgomery Street and Broadway in North Beach was a magnet for young, beautiful, and not-so-young-and-beautiful people who danced the night away in the upstairs disco with its swirling psychedelic lights, mirrored, glittering globe spinning above, and its pulsating disco beat.
