ABSTRACT
The World Health Organization (WHO) is concerned with the health impact of economic development projects and policy. Most often, these health impacts are secondary consequences of other environmental effects. The worldwide development of environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedures has provided a way to include and assess the health impacts of the same development projects.
