ABSTRACT
The letter r has two sounds, the one a kind of flapped sound something between 1 and r which is used with the vowels i and e (e.g. siri, sere) and the other the normal rolled r which is used with other vowels (e.g. sara, s<>r<». Both sounds belong to one phoneme and can be represented by one letter. (See Oh. XIII, p. 75.) Ewe.
