ABSTRACT
As headteacher, you need to attract and retain staff with the right qualifications, experience and personal qualities to enable the school to run as efficiently as possible. How well staff are recruited will have an overall effect on the quality of education provided. This chapter examines the procedures and issues involved in making appointments and provides some exemplar materials.
