ABSTRACT
If you are delivering a learning event via the Web then you will be communicating with your learners via electronic means. An essential component of a Web-based learning event is that learners must have the support of a facilitator to assist them in their studies. It does not matter how effective your learning materials are; the learners will still want to ask questions. Effective facilitator support can overcome one of the major problems of Web learning events, that of learners' feelings of isolation. With communication technology, the facilitator can communicate with the learners in many different ways.
