ABSTRACT

Finding, describing and understanding patterns is central not only to math, but to the human experience itself. It is through this process of identifying interconnections and regularity that we make sense and meaning of our lives. Our understanding of a natural occurrence, such as the weather we experience, is based upon the identification of the patterns we observe and then put into some meaningful and useful form. The same is true of other life occurrences such as human relationships, reading, and mathematics.
