ABSTRACT
The previous chapter highlighted the role of advanced communications within the EU’s industrial competitiveness strategy. It highlighted the features that telecom-TENs need to exhibit if they are to complement the EU’s industrial policy objectives. This chapter aims to examine why it is important for networks to exhibit these features by understanding their positive impact upon enterprise performance within both European and global theatres.
