ABSTRACT
It is difficult, if not impossible, to separate out multilingual issues from the political and social agendas of our time. While it is not the main purpose of this chapter to discuss multiculturalism, anti-racism and equal opportunities in great depth, it is important nevertheless to point out that the successful and healthy development of these areas are dependent on everything we do in early years settings.
