ABSTRACT

When I started out in behaviour support I was thrilled to be given a chance to save youngsters from being excluded. Off I would go, racing from school to school on my motorbike, turning up like emergency service personnel and dishing out conflict resolution to kids as if it were going out of fashion. In hot pursuit of an exclusion waiting to happen, I patrolled the corridors and stock cupboards of local schools working with kids who had been targeted for support from Mr Behaviour Man.
