ABSTRACT
Start the activity by drawing out a large square grid of dots in chalk on the floor or set out 25 chairs in a 5 by 5 grid. Using the pupils, get them to arrange them selves in the smallest Z arrangement. Gradually increase the arrangement by adding in more pupils. (Pupils watching will probably find it easier to see the spatial pattern if the pupils are seated.)
