ABSTRACT
Experimental music has become yet more marginal in the 70s and the 80s than it already was, but it is not yet forgotten. Experimentalism has known its phases throughout history. The 70s brought on a phase of no-phase as it were. The economy hurt most developments and the ensuing conservatism covered up most of the rest. For diehards like the current writer, the words perseverance and patience must play a role.
