ABSTRACT
Refugees often engage in multiple, and overlapping, forms of mobility and migration: far from being stagnant and dependent objects of humanitarian action who wait to be ‘saved’ by powerful Others, 1 Sahrawi and Palestinian refugees – amongst many others – have historically been highly mobile within and outside the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for educational and employment purposes alike.
