ABSTRACT
Consider this philosophical tale about that very private matter – birth control. It starts with two doctors discussing the case of a mother who has become pregnant but is worried about having another baby. The first doctor relates that she has already had four children, of which the first was born blind, the second died, the third was born deaf and dumb while the fourth developed tuberculosis. The first doctor then asks the second what would they have advised the mother?
