ABSTRACT

For time to flow is for events, B-facts and B-times to have A-times that change from future to present to past. But, as we have just seen, this kind of change entails a contradiction and so cannot really occur. This means that the A-theory of change outlined in chapter 7.1 must be false. We must therefore either meet the objections given there to the rival B-theory or conclude with McTaggart that in reality there is no change.
