ABSTRACT
The tragic misunderstanding which has been developing between the United States and the rest of the free world is due to a conflict between different moral principles, sincerely held on both sides. It is just because these moral principles are sincerely held, that adjustment is so difficult. The United States stands for the principle of international law enforcement. I cannot say too strongly how wholeheartedly I agree with this principle. I think it is the ultimate solution of the world’s troubles, and if it were wholly applicable in the present situation I should agree completely with the United States’ policy.
