ABSTRACT
By late 2009, several dozen countries worldwide had established legal requirements for SEA, and others had developed SEA guidelines. This chapter discusses three quite different SEA systems, to demonstrate the range of institutional structures and legal systems within which SEA can be applied, and SEA approaches used.
