Describe the general characteristics of social and political movements
Identify the circumstances that can lead to social movements
Describe the role of nonprofit organizations in political and social movements
Describe social change organizations and some of their activities
Provide examples of historic social movements that have shaped modern US society as well as current social movements
Discuss the role of technology in shaping modern social movements
