ABSTRACT
Research shows that children learn in different ways at home and at school. The importance of developing a partnership with parents/carers in order to build bridges between home and school environments is addressed. We also explore issues surrounding the setting of homework and home-reading. The chapter includes some ideas from research on working with families.
