ABSTRACT
A profound difficulty in recalling basic number facts is one of the hallmarks of a pupil with dyscalculia. Long after their peers have demonstrated quick and accurate recall of number facts, the pupil with dyscalculia may repeatedly stumble over even the most commonly used number facts. Years of tedious practice often seem to have little or no effect. The pupil's confidence drops and their attitude towards mathematics becomes increasingly negative.
