ABSTRACT

Richard works in a human developmental role for a large distributed organization. He was charged with running a series of activities for 10 team leaders to promote electronic group working and learning together across the company. He wanted to ensure that the activities were not just about e-communication but also had some relevance, usefulness and authenticity. He approached me for help with his first attempt and I offered him the outline of suggestions in Tables 1.1 and 1.2 (pages 2 and 3) and agreed to comment on his e-tivity design. What follows are Richard’s attempts at his first e-tivity design with some commentary from me. Further on you can read what happened when the e-tivity was delivered.
